Nihilism, gifted children and Jessica rabbit!!!

Good afternoon interweb, and a very Good Friday it is to you as well, all I can say is that the lag back in the time of Jesus must have been really bad if it took him 3 days to respawn.
That said I'm sure Infinity ward could take a look at the code used to help with their respawn points. Lol.
I would like today to have a bit of a chat about the state of the world today, the state of the world and the ever increasing evidence that as a population on the planet we are getting ever closer to a state of perpetual nihilism. Certainly throughout western culture it is spreading it’s clammy grasp like death himself to all who will sit back and simply let it.

Nietzsche summed up nihilism very well when he described it as “ a condition of tension, as a disproportion between what we want to value (or need) and how the world appears to operate."
It may take years to form the conclusion but eventually we will all sit down one day and realise that the world in which we live, strive and survive does not posses the qualities, values or meanings that we once thought it did. It is at this time that we will usually find ourselves in a crisis if we but have enough IQ.
If we don’t may I suggest you add gifted children to your diet in an effort to increase it. I find they go well with a bit of English mustard.
Nihilism is currently removing any meaning from human existence, it is removing truth, value and morals from our daily lives at an alarming rate. You only need to switch on the idiot box and watch the news to see nihilism at work.
Nihilism is in fact the very makeup and character of the modern western world, it is as yet incomplete but I don’t think it is too far away.
However when we look a little deeper into things such as morality we find that each individual has their own perspective of such things. Each individual makes sense of the world and their own actions and thoughts by their own view and perspective of morals which may have been implanted by others of may have been garnered by life experience but in the end, if we allow nihilism to go to it’s own end and completion we will discover that nothing has meaning or value.

This is the prophecy of der letzte Mensch, the last man. The complete destruction of all meaning and all values would lead to an existence of apathy and stillness, where positive actions, affirmative actions, would be replaced by a state of reaction and destruction. A world in which there is no more will to power, no values or self realisation just apathy.
Christianity is an antidote against a primal form of nihilism, against the despair of meaninglessness.
However, it is exactly the element of truthfulness in Christian doctrine that is its undoing: in its drive towards truth, Christianity eventually finds itself to be a construct, which leads to its own dissolution.
Pain is inevitable; suffering is optional. Call me a cynic but when I smell flowers I look around for the hearse. Maybe that's just my age creeping up on me but maybe it isn’t.
I feel that in the long run it doesn't matter if you win or lose in the big, scary jungle of the real world. Winners and losers... Enemies and allies... We don't live in a comic book! This is the real deal.
Plus It's very hard to take yourself too seriously when you look at the world in relation to the rest of the universe.
And so I end today's post with a picture of Jessica Rabbit, simply because it is my blog and I can post what the hell I like.

Peace out yall, THE BAGSTAXXX
